BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Newcastle Baseball Board of Directors
Newcastle PONY Baseball Club League is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit volunteer-led youth baseball organization where all roles are fulfilled through volunteers.
Every October, the league’s board membership adjusts through new members and retirements. Each board position for the upcoming season is also determined through board voting (1-year commitment).
There are many Board roles, so there is a good chance that one or more of them may be a good match for the skills of any of the player parents. A moderate to strong baseball acumen is not required for most Board positions, neither is being a coach.
Please consider adding your expertise, energy, and ideas to our Board so we can support our mission of providing a fun, enjoyable, and enriching baseball experience for young players in our community. We have a variety of volunteer roles available, and we have existing volunteers that can share knowledge and support you in your volunteer role.

Here is a list of Board roles
Officer - President
Objective: Run the Newcastle PONY Baseball league as the leader of the Board, assist all other members as needed, knowledge sharing/mentoring.
Skills: Highly desirable existing knowledgeable board member, moderate to strong baseball acumen, small business leadership experience a plus.
Officer – Vice-President
Objective: Assist in running the Newcastle PONY Baseball league.
Skills: Desirable existing knowledgeable board member (#2 in command), moderate baseball acumen, small business leadership experience a plus.
Officer – Treasurer
Objective: Manage the league's budget, expenses, and cash flow.
Skills: Accounting background desired, experience managing home finances in tools like Quicken/QuickBooks desired.
Officer – Secretary
Objective: Ensure the league runs efficiently and in accordance with league by-laws.
Skills: Project management experience a plus.
Mustang / Pinto / Shetland Division Scheduler
Objective: Schedule practice fields for all divisions in March, schedule games for Mustang, Pinto, and Shetland divisions.
Skills: Scheduling experience.
Bronco Division Scheduler
Objective: Schedule games for Bronco division where opponents include internal teams and teams from local peer PONY organizations.
Skills: Scheduling experience, connection to Bronco division.
Pony Division Scheduler
Objective: Schedule games for Pony division where opponents include internal team and teams from local peer PONY organizations.
Skills: Scheduling experience, connection to Pony division.
Field Scheduler
Objective: Coordinator for all field rentals with all Parks departments and school districts incorporating needs of all division schedulers.
Skills: Scheduling experience.
